Lent Group – there will be a weekly meeting starting Monday 11 February 10.00 – 11.00 am at the Vicarage.  We shall be using a ‘York Course’ on ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ with an accompanying CD for input from various speakers.  All are most welcome.

Mary Taylor wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, good wishes, cards and visits, while in hospital she is now home hopefully for good.

Confirmation I have been approached about this by a number of folk – if you are interested in this step or, indeed, of renewing confirmation or baptismal promise made a while ago please have a word with me-David

Loose Change! Following a suggestion there will be a box at the back of the church for any ‘loose change’ anyone one would like to pass in this direction

Future Dates: Next New Bibles Meeting Monday 25th February at 1.30pm.March 30th10.00am Family Service and 6.30pm Communion, April 6th 10am Communion, 6.30pm Evening Prayer (i.e. the 2 Sundays swapped)

Pancake Party 5th February at 7.30pm in Church Centre.  Proceeds to Tear Fund for their work in Africa, mainly Darfur.  Christine Cooper still has some tickets.

www.wordlive.org is a newly launched website to help with using and reading the bible – looks worth a look for those of you on the web!

Communion is also distributed in the side chapel to avoid the main steps up.
